We were commissioned to design an expansive entertaining space at the rear of the property to better accommodate the clients’ growing family and their social gatherings. During the site survey, it became clear that the existing ground floor layout did not support open, social living. To resolve this, we relocated the side main entrance to the principal elevation, transforming the former kitchen area into a grand entry hall. The new entertaining space features an exposed GluLam roof structure, creating generous ceiling heights and extending seamlessly to an outdoor patio pergola — Achieving a blurred boundary between interior and exterior living.
